Stormwater Department Responsibilities
The Stormwater Department is responsible for making sure all of the six control measures are followed. This includes individuals and companies as well as the City itself.
Oversees all jobs that deal with city right of way to insure water quality is not disrupted.
Creating Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) for any of the municipal facilities that require one.
Creating manuals and handouts to educate the community on various stormwater topics such as rain gardens.
Inspecting all construction sites and checking for compliance with the stormwater guidelines.
Future water testing will be done by the Stormwater Department.
Working with the other departments in the city to insure that a good example is being set for the rest of the city.
Working with the community on projects such as storm drain stenciling and various clean ups.
Working with the recycling center and encouraging citizens to recycle. For more information on recycling click here.
